The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 is a set of rules that protect patients' privacy and security within all of healthcare. Thus, everyone in your agency must contribute to the insurance of patient confidentiality.


In this training presentation, we will take a look at how HIPAA is integrated into your organization, and what best practices are to achieve HIPAA compliance. Also included are two theoretical scenarios, allowing you to visualize how you might apply this information.

A graduate of Northeastern University, Kate has since become the Director of Performance Improvement and Staff Education for the Brockton VNA.
