Effective Communication for Home Health Aides

The new Conditions of
Participation scheduled for implementation on January 1, 2018 have added new
home health aide training requirements. Under section 484.80 home
health aides are now required to complete education on communication skills,
including the ability to read, write and verbally report clinical information
to patients, representatives and caregivers, as well as to other HHA
staff. All current home health aides must complete the training by
January 1st, and ongoing aides must complete the training as part of
their 12 hour inservice requirements.
Help your home health aides in meeting this new training requirement signing up for our live 1-hour webinar session designed to help teach home health aides effective communication skills. All registrations will also receive access to upload 50 users to access the recording and post-test. Certificates of completion and contact hours will be awarded after successful completion of the post-test.
